THE MAGIC of Aladdin will be settling on a village hall in neighbouring Brentwood next month.

The Blackmore Players are getting ready for their annual pantomime with the tale of the lad who finds a lamp with a big surprise inside.

With three performances at the Nine Ashes Road hall, on Friday and Saturday January 23 and 24, the players will make you forget your post Christmas worries.

With music provided by Brentwood Brass musical director, Shirley Parrott, the 20 plus strong company are in full rehearsal getting the songs and choreography just right.

Tickets are from £7.50 and matinee £5 and available from the box office on 01277 372386.
