ARTISTS over 60 are invited to enter Havering's most popular art competition.

It's open to anyone who lives or works in Havering, provided they have celebrated their 60th birthday and the work was completed after it.

All entries will be exhibited in The Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch between July 18 and August 18 and a silver trophy will be awarded for the best overall exhibit.

This year's judges include John Benson, proprietor of Art Base in Hornchurch and Lakeside.

He said: "I am delighted to assist with the judging. The standard of work submitted is always high which makes judging difficult but extremely interesting and fun to do."

Entry forms are available from Fairkytes Arts Centre, local libraries and Swan Books, Corbets Tey Road, Upminster.
