With little more than a month left to Christmas shoppers had fun looking for festive gifts at Barking’s beautiful Eastbury Manor House.
The Christmas fair, on Saturday, was packed full of stalls selling a range of home-made crafts, including
jewellery, corn dollies, bird boxes, photographs, clocks, Christmas decorations, textiles and knitwear.
The next event at the historic building is a 16th Century Christmas on December 1, when visitors can sample food that would have been eaten by the Tudors and Elizabethans during the Twelve Days of Christmas.
There will also be a Nativity performance, 17th century handbell ringing and a chance to meet Father Christmas. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. For more information call 020 8724 1001.
