Mary McCartan 19th July 1948 to 1st April 2020. It is with deep regret that we notify you of our mother and Grandmother, Mary McCartans passing. Mary came to England aged 15 years from Ireland,, working in London. Mary worked in St Joseph’s Hospice and Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital in younger years. Mary was resident in Dagenham for over 46 years, raising her family. Mary was diagnosed with Lupus and pushed through what was a debilitating and painful chronic condition. Mary passed away at home unexpectedly on 1st April 2020. Mary”s children Carroll, Jonathan, Fionnuala and grandchildren Megan, Holly, Khalil, Kasaan, Kami have set up two fundraising pages for donations in memory of Mum and Nan and Granny. Mary’s oldest grand daughter studying Italian and Spanish at University too.. Mary adored her grandchildren and her kindness, love of music, arts and others will live on through them
