£2,300 stolen from 83-year-old man in Dagenham bank

Police are searching for a man and a woman after more than £2,000 was stolen from an 83-year-old man in Dagenham.

The pair are wanted in connection with the theft of a wallet at Barclays Bank, Heathway, at about 1pm on Wednesday, May 20.

The victim had withdrawn £200 in cash from inside the bank but after leaving, discovered his wallet had been stolen and a further £2,100 withdrawn from his account.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 181527 and 181528, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
