A school in Dagenham celebrated the royal wedding in an unusual way - by staging a simulation with lookalike teachers in front of pupils, parents and teachers.
Teachers Natalie Lipman and John Hogan at Parsloes Primary School dressed up as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and completed the mock nuptials on Friday, ahead of the royal couple’s big day.
Other teachers were dressed as other members of the royal family.
After the vows were made there was a parade around the school and the school joined the lookalike royal couple for a picnic.
Headteacher Lauren Pearce said: “This has been an opportunity to celebrate the British values in our community. Children, parents, staff and the community have joined together to have a wonderful day celebrating the British monarchy and British culture.
“It has been a memorable day for all and I am certain that the children will remember this day.”
