Firefighters from four stations were called to a blaze at a recycling plant this morning.
A paper shredder in one of the buildings at the plant in River Road, Barking, was destroyed by the fire.
Twenty-one firefighters and officers attended the blaze in engines called from Barking, Shadwell, Dagenham and Poplar stations.
The Brigade was called shortly after 10am and the fire was under control by 11.40am. The cause is under investigation.
