Firefighters were called to a fire in a convenience store in Dagenham which damaged the ground floor.
Four fire engines and 21 crew members were called to the blaze on Hedgemans Road at 5.06pm on Sunday, December 29.
Six people left the building before the crews from Barking and Dagenham stations arrived.
The fire was brought under control after an hour and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
