COUNCIL CHIEFS are to slash over a hundred Town Hall posts within the next three years to fill a massive �13million funding gap after grim budget forecasts.
The shock news was announced today (Tuesday) as Barking and Dagenham said they have to shed 100 to 150 staff in order to meet their budgets.
The council's chief executive Rob Whiteman said: "Like thousands of families across our borough who are feeling the pinch in these tough economic times, Barking and Dagenham council has to make savings."
