NASSA under-15s opened the new basketball season with a fantastic victory against Cambridge Cats at the weekend.
Cats took an early lead, but NASSA were quick to respond and then scored a number of baskets to move into a comfortable lead.
By half time, the Newham side led 51-12 and in the third quarter, nifty footwork and strong drives to the basket by George Jarvis, William Acheampong and Myles Laurent-Smart, helped the team to stay in the ascendancy.
Impressive teamwork and solid lay-ups from Eromosele Unabona, Alex Semanda and Phillip Osemwegie added further points to the NASSA score, as they ran out convincing 95-21 winners.
Head coach Kelvin Facey said: "It was excellent to win our first game of the season.
"However, we are only at the beginning of the season and we have a long way to go and a lot of hard work to do before we reach our full potential.
