DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE manager John Still has promised to make decisions on a number of trialists this week, as he looks to finalise his squad ahead of the new season, writes MIKE SIMMONDS.
Former Brentford winger Glenn Poole played in the 3-0 victory over Mangotsfield at the weekend, while a youthful side including ex-Peterborough player Kwesi Appiah and Fisher defender Alex Bentley saw off Thurrock 2-1 on Monday night.
"Nothing has happened with Glenn at the moment, but I will be in a position to know next week whether we will do something there," said the boss, who ran his eye over the squad during last night's friendly at Grays Athletic.
"One player who has really impressed me is Alex Bentley, who can play in both full back positions.
"He's 18-years of age and myself and Terry (Harris) have done our work on him and watched him play for Fisher.
"He has done very well in his time here, while Kwesi has done alright too.
"I will make some final decisions on the trialists a little bit later in the week."
