Wes Thomas scores to give Daggers a 1-0 win over Boreham Wood
DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE earned their second win of the pre-season campaign after edging past Boreham Wood 1-0 thanks to a goal from Wes Thomas.
The striker struck moments before the break, netting from close range after his shot had been blocked.
Daggers boss John Still named a strong side for the game, with trialist Will Antwi partnering Mark Arber in defence, while Paul Benson and Peter Gain both started.
The visitors were never at their best though, despite Thomas' goal, as it needed a goal-line clearance from Danny Green in the second half to preserve their lead.
Daggers: Roberts, Ogogo (Doe 32), Griffiths (Eminiki 32), Antwi, Arber, Green, Taiwo, Gain, Montgomery (Thurgood 61), Benson (Charge 46), Thomas.
