MOTORISTS were furious after a wheel clamping company pounced on three cars in the same alley, raking in more than 1500 in fines in just a few hours.

One family was so convinced the clampers had acted illegally they called the police and refused to leave their car or pay the fine.
But shop and business owners who employed the firm, defended the clampers claiming they are the only way they can prevent people from using their private parking spaces.
