HOT PROSPECTS from West Ham and Newham boxing clubs will bid for their latest success on the national junior title trail at Hayes on Sunday afternoon.
The boxers who won London junior titles now aim to move through the pre-quarter final stage of the championship.
The London champions face the new Home Counties winners although several have been given a bye through to the national quarter-finals.
MEANWHILE, Surkan Guzel (Newham BC) came through a winner in a keenly fought clash against John Cook (Colchester) on the West Ham BC show on Friday night.
Both boxers were shaken in a hard hitting contest with the Newham hope coming through to take a well deserved points verdict.
On the same show Peter Protain (Newham) fought valiantly but dropped a points verdict in an excellent bout with Jay Butterjig of the Lansbury Club.
