ORIENT skipper Stephen Purches insists the team will bounce back following last week's home defeat by Walsall.
The reverse saw a three-game winning run come to an end, but Purches, who is a PFA player of the month contender for League One, said: "We have got to pick ourselves up and get on with it, we can't feel sorry for ourselves."
The defeat left O's just three points off the drop zone, but Purches believed it was just one of those days.
"It's a setback and it's all about how we react to a defeat after a good run," he said.
"We will be looking to bounce back against Oldham. What was disappointing is that for the first 30 minutes we played as well as we have done for a while, but we just didn't capitalise on it and then were caught by a sucker punch.
"In the second half, Walsall sat back and made it difficult for us. I'm sure Oldham will set up in a similar way, but we have got to learn from Saturday's defeat and keep doing the things we did well.
"I can't say why things don't go for us at home, but we didn't capitalise on the pressure we had in the first half and in the end we seemed to run out of ideas. We had a few decent chances, but were destined not to score.
"There's no extra pressure playing at home. We have just got to work out what went wrong and put it right on Saturday.
