A severe weather warning has been issued as forecasters predict heavy showers and thunderstorms across the south east tomorrow.
A warning of localised flooding has been issued as heavy downpours are expected to develop during the afternoon and continue into the evening.
The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: “Heavy showers are expected to break out this afternoon and persist into the evening. “Due to light winds, some of these showers are likely to be slow-moving leading to some localised prolonged, torrential thundery downpours which could give 20-25mm of rain in a relatively short space of time and close to 40mm in two or three hours.”
