Damien McCrory is successful with appeal against Plymouth sending off
Dagenham & Redbridge defender Damien McCrory has won his appeal against the red card received in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
The Irish defender conceded a penalty in second-half stoppage time for a foul on Isaac Vassell and saw red for ‘denying the forward a goalscoring opportunity’.
While Daggers boss John Still graciously admitted the award of the penalty was the correct decision, he disputed Vassell was denied a goalscoring opportunity and an appeal on those grounds proved successful.
McCrory’s red card has been rescinded and he will be available for Saturday’s home match with Aldershot Town.
