A world-record holding cyclist stopped off in Dagenham during a bike ride around all London's pro football grounds.

Gordon Miller was joined by pupils from Hunters Hall Primary School at Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club on Saturday (December 3).

Gordon, who has a Guinness World Record for the largest individual GPS drawing by bicycle, is the founder of social enterprise Ride For Freedom.

On its website, it describes itself as a movement that advocates to end modern slavery.

Gordon introduced its Show A Red Card campaign, raising awareness of human trafficking in football, at half-time of the Daggers' match with Torquay.

He said: "Many (trafficking victims) are youths who are lured to Europe by false promises of trials with professional football clubs that do not exist.

"Instead, they become exploited, victims of modern slavery."

His visit to Dagenham came during a challenge which saw him cycle to all 18 London professional football clubs in less than 36 hours.

It was part of Cycle Revolution, Ride For Freedom’s annual initiative which invites people to cycle to raise awareness of and fundraise towards its mission to use cycling to end modern slavery.
