A driver has been arrested after a police chase involving a helicopter through Dagenham on Thursday night.
Police received a report of a stolen vehicle in Warley Avenue at around 11.30pm January 5.
A pursuit was authorised and ensued through surrounding streets, before the driver left the vehicle in Whalebone Lane. Police said the car was subsequently involved in a collision with other vehicles.

A police spokesperson said with help from a police helicopter, the driver was eventually arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
