A stolen car was abandoned by its occupants after it crashed in Dagenham.
Police were called to Lodge Avenue at around 2.30am this morning (November 25) to reports of a crash involving a car.
Officers attending the incident found that the occupants of the car had fled the scene.
A police spokesperson said that the car is believed to have been stolen.
They added that there have no arrests and enquiries continue.
One lane of the road has remained shut throughout the morning as work is carried out to repair a damaged barrier.
