We Are Fstvl has explained the reasoning behind its decision to move next year's event from Upminster to Dagenham.

The event has been held at Damyns Aerodrome in Upminster - including last year - but the location for the 2024 edition will be Central Park, Dagenham. 

When asked why the move was taking place, a spokesperson for the festival said: "The festival has moved to Dagenham this year as organisers wanted a fresh look for the show as it returns to its spiritual date of 25-26 May.

"The new location also boasts strong transport links to central London."

The announcement stirred up mixed views from Facebook users. 

One user commented: "Oh wonderful just what we need round this area. NOT."

Next year's event will see the likes of Chase & Status Live, Eric Prydz and Gorgon City perform.
