Two people have been arrested after a woman died in a fatal crash.
Police were called to Leys Avenue in Dagenham last Friday (January 26) at 8.26am to reports of a woman, 63, injured after being hit by a vehicle.
She was then pronounced dead at the scene and her family are being supported by family liaison officers.
Two vehicles involved with the crash have since been established and two men, 42 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They have been bailed as enquires continue.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of Rainham Road South or who has information that could assist police.
