A Gladiators star is coming to Barking for a free family open day.
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, a former Team GB sprinter who appears as Nitro in the BBC reboot of Gladiators, will join residents at Abbey Leisure Centre on Saturday, January 25.
The open day, running from 10am to 4pm, will feature free access to the gym facilities, personal training sessions, family swimming sessions, and children's entertainment.
The centre's recent gym upgrade, completed in December, has introduced advanced cardio equipment, expanded strength training facilities and a dedicated relaxation zone.
Hasan Romel, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "We're thrilled to welcome Harry to Abbey Leisure Centre.
"As someone who lives and breathes fitness, he'll be putting our new state-of-the-art gym equipment through its paces and bringing his trademark energy and enthusiasm to the day."
Harry will be at the event from 10am to 1pm, meeting visitors, testing out the new gym equipment, and taking part in fitness challenges.
