From "massive potholes" to "melted rubbish bins", here are the most complained about issues in Dagenham reported to a website so far this year.
FixMyStreet is a website where the public can submit complaints about problems in their neighbourhood. The site then sends these to the appropriate local authority.
Here are some of the most regularly reported issues in Dagenham since the turn of the year.
A total of five separate reports were made on potholes across Dagenham from January to March so far. These came in Chequers Lane, Ballards Lane, Oval Road and Ripple Road.
The most recent report came on March 10, where someone noted a "big pothole" in Ripple Road and pleaded for it to be fixed.
They added: "I was riding my motorcycle at 50 mph when I met that pothole - my bike and I were in the air and luckily I landed safely.
"There were cars and trucks around me - please respect my life and other motorcycle users and please fill that hole."
Another recurring source of annoyance was damaged bus shelters.
On February 21, someone reported a "smashed" pane of bus stop glass in Ballards Lane whilst another two reports were made about the stop in Hedgemans Road.
On January 31, another report noted a "melted rubbish bin by the bus stop".
On the same day, someone else reported the back of the shops along Hedgemans Road to be "messy and littered".
Traffic lights and road markings have also been topics of irritation.
Three reports were made on the A13, Ripple Road across March 2 and 3 alone.
Two of these were for "faded stop lines" on the road whilst the other was for a "smashed" advertising board.
Hedgemans Road was subject to two more reports on January 15 of faulty traffic lights with one person saying the red light is "constantly changing".
A Barking and Dagenham Council spokesperson said: “The council doesn’t subscribe to websites such as Fix My Street and this is reflected with messaging on their websites.
"However, the council encourages residents to report issues via the council website www.lbbd.gov.uk/report-problem which in turn are logged, investigated and remediated.
“The council's highways team continues to make sure that all highways are fit for purpose and safe for the public.
"Any issues are fixed in a timely manner.”
