A community-minded duo are to be going "bigger and better" than before in their pursuit of improving the lives of the less fortunate in Barking and Dagenham.

Ryan Steward set up online wholesaler Prowler Enterprises in January 2021 and since then, alongside selling supplies for multiple industries, he and his business partner Femi Yusuf have been giving back to the community.

The pair have revealed plans for their latest charity act - which they have called their "biggest" yet.

On June 14, the duo will be offering a 'community impact day' with free haircuts, hot meals, washing and hygiene facilities, financial advice and skills workshops in Barking Learning Centre.

"Following the success of our last event, we're proud to go bigger and better," said Ryan.

"We believe in our community, and we believe that change starts here."

On March 29, Ryan and Femi provided hundreds of meals and free haircuts for those in need at Scrattons Social Club in Morrison Road.

"We believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and sometimes all it takes is someone showing up with a hot meal, a clean shirt, a fresh haircut, or simply a conversation to remind someone of their worth," said Ryan.

"This isn’t just about charity - it’s about restoring dignity, building confidence, and creating real, lasting opportunities.

Ryan explained that on June 14, Prowler is partnering with Zaine Duffus, founder of WeWantFadez and "widely regarded as one of the borough’s best barbers".

Zaine and his team of barbers will be offering free haircuts but Ryan said "this day is about more than a fresh trim - it’s about lifting people up and helping them move forward".

On June 28 Ryan and Femi will also participate in a 10k charity run through Barking and Dagenham.

The run will start and end at Barking Station.

"Every step we take is a step towards change - towards helping the Barking and Dagenham homeless shelters provide food, support, and safe shelter for those in need," said Ryan.

"This run is our way of showing that we care - that we see the struggles many face, and we choose to act.

"It’s a chance to unite the community, stand in solidarity with the vulnerable, and show that when we move together, we can move mountains.

"We’re running to make a difference - and to remind everyone that we’re stronger together."
