A Primary school has unveiled a refurbished outdoor learning area for its Early Years pupils.
The space at James Cambell Primary School, was redesigned to support play and development, offering a safe and creative environment for the children. The new area includes various features to encourage exploration, imagination, and physical activity, aligning with early learning goals.
A small opening ceremony was conducted to celebrate the new addition, attended by staff, parents, and the wider school community.
The event was led by headteacher Ms. C. Breakwell and EYFS lead Mrs. C. Sullivan, both of whom spoke about the significance of quality early years provision.

Both emphasised the positive impact of outdoor learning on children’s development.
Former headteacher and current member of the governing body, Mr. J. Wilson, had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially open the area. Reflecting on the school's growth, he joined in the celebrations with staff, parents, and pupils.
Staff highlighted their commitment to investing in the youngest learners, aiming to provide them with a solid foundation for future education.
The school community, including parents, was invited to partake in the celebrations, reinforcing the strong relationship between the school and its families.
The school is located in Langley Crescent, Dagenham.
