A nightclub in Barking has faced backlash after proposing to open until 5am at the weekend.
Deuce Lounge applied to extend its opening hours - and the time it sells alcohol, plays recorded music and provides refreshment - by one hour each night.
This means it proposes to open until 3am Sunday to Wednesday, and until 5am Thursday to Saturday.
However, the application was met with three objections from the police, a councillor and a resident who raised concerns the longer operating hours could "increase noise" and "antisocial behaviour" outside the premises.
Councillor Saima Ashraf, deputy leader of Barking & Dagenham Council, said the nightclub in London Road is already a "very disturbing place".
Cllr Ashraf said in her representation: "Increasing the hours to sell alcohol and for music would mean increase of noise and footfall at very late hours in a residential area.
"We have families and residents working hard and late hours that are already complaining about the noise level of people and vehicles that are parked everywhere without legitimate parking places.
"So I would strongly go against it."
A nearby resident claimed that Deuce Lounge "emits loud music well beyond sociable hours", and "shouting, arguing and loud anti-social behaviour are a nightly occurrence" when patrons leave the club.
They fear the opening hours extension would "exacerbate these existing, serious problems" if approved.
The resident's representation said: "My family and other residents of this building have endured persistent and escalating issues directly attributable to the operation of this premises.
"The premises currently operates in a manner that causes a significant and ongoing public nuisance to the residents of this building and the surrounding area.
"Given the severity, duration and gravity of the issues outlined, I unreservedly reject the application to vary the premises licence and request that the licensing sub-committee refuse the application in its entirety."

Initially, the Metropolitan Police did not support the application, arguing that the increased licensed hours "does not appear justified" and "could allow for additional crime & ASB to occur".
But, after Deuce Lounge agreed to only extend recorded music and late-night refreshment by half an hour each day, the police withdrew its application.
Applicant Ayodele Oshin also responded to the objections lodged by the resident and councillor, stating that he takes the concerns raised "seriously".
In his response Mr Oshin said: "We remain fully committed to promoting all four licensing objectives under the Licensing Act 2003 and have demonstrated this commitment throughout our more than ten years of operating from these premises.
"Whilst we acknowledge the concerns raised, we respectfully submit that many of the statements made do not accurately reflect the operation of Deuce Lounge, our relationship with the local community, or our continued cooperation with the Licensing Authority and the Metropolitan Police."
No agreement has been reached between the applicant and the two remaining objectors at the time of writing, and therefore Barking & Dagenham Council's licensing sub-committee will review the application at a hearing on Wednesday (August 26) at 7pm.
Deuce Lounge has been contacted for further comment.
