Four men have been arrested after a man was found suffering a cardiac arrest following an assault at a pub in Dagenham.

The London Ambulance Service requested the assistance of Metropolitan Police officers at 7.10pm on August 22 as paramedics treated a man experiencing a cardiac arrest at a pub on Heathway. 

Police involvement was sought after it was established that the patient had been assaulted. 

Officers attended and the man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital. 

It is understood that he remains in hospital care, but his condition has been reported to have improved to non-life threatening nor life-changing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson has advised that four men have now been arrested in connection to the incident.
