The closure notice aims to tackle cuckooing—a crime where a vulnerable person’s home is taken over and used as a base for criminal activities.
The Becontree Neighbourhood Policing Team stressed that tackling antisocial behaviour is a priority.
Residents are encouraged to report any concerns to the authorities.
The notice indicates a concerted effort by police, council, and residents to reclaim the area from criminal elements.
