MAGNUS OKUONGHAE made it a double for the season, as he won the Recorder Dagenham & Redbridge player of the season award.

Over 150 supporters voted on the Recorder website and Okuonghae picked up 42 per cent of the vote to take the honour.

It caps a tremendous season for the former Crawley man, as he was a virtual ever-present in the Daggers defence, making 49 appearances in all competitions.

Daggers fans will be hoping the club can keep hold of their popular centre half, as he is out of contract, but manager John Still will be looking to secure his signature.

Flying winger Matt Ritchie showed just what a signing he was on loan from Portsmouth, polling 24 per cent of the vote to finish in second place.

Experienced midfielder Peter Gain was third with 11 per cent, while Sam Saunders, who enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal, was fourth with 10 per cent.
