An inquisitive dog almost went on a little adventure after jumping onto a bus all alone and taking his seat ready to drive off.

The little episode was witnessed by Streetlife user Dee S who wrote: “I was on a 368 bus at lunchtime today going towards Barking when the bus stopped outside the Roundhouse pub. A little Jack Russell got on but no owner, [the] dog went to the back of the bus, driver got out and tried to persuade the dog to leave.”

According to one passenger, the dog had come out of Mayesbrook Park, trotted across the zebra crossing and waited at the bus stop before hopping on.

Dee continued: “After a lot of shooing the little dog got off and he trotted back over the zebra crossing again and standing by the gates was a little old lady holding a lead quite oblivious to the fact her precious pet almost ended up at the Gascoigne estate.”
