Portsmouth 0 West Ham 2
SECOND-HALF goals by Dylan Tombides and Ahmed Abdulla saw West Ham's under-18s claim their first win in eight games.
Like the first team, Tony Carr's side had not tasted a league victory since the opening day of the season - at Everton.
But Tombides and Abdulla both struck in Eastleigh to extend the Hammers' unbeaten run to three matches. Tombides has been in great form for the under-16 team this season and made the most of his under-18 debut by opening the scoring.
Abdulla then made the game safe to delight Academy boss Tony Carr.
Carr said: "It was a good win in what was a scrappy game on a pitch more suited for rugby than football."
