Police are appealing for help after a 24-year-old man was left seriously injured following a crash with a car.

Officers were called to Green Lane, at the junction with Castle Lane and Greenway in Dagenham, at 11.30am yesterday to reports of a crash.

Paramedics from London Ambulance Service and air ambulance attended, rushing the motorcyclist to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car also stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Temporary road closures were in place but have since been lifted.

Police particularly want to hear from any witnesses who offered assistance following the crash as well as those at the nearby bus stop who may have seen what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call Chadwell Heath Traffic Garage on 0208 597 4874 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
