BUDDING Academy star Robert Hall grabbed his third goal in just two games, but it was not enough to prevent the under-18s from slipping to a 2-1 defeat against Charlton on Saturday.

After the euphoria of last week's victory over Chelsea, West Ham went into this match with confidence, but after a goalless first half, it was the home side who snatched the lead midway through the second.

Hall then grabbed an equaliser, and West Ham could have got themselves in front as Jack Werndly had two good chances to score.
