London’s most iconic landmarks have been brought to life by college students who were given just 10 days to design and create models for a New Year’s Day float.
The students, who are studying carpentry, painting and decorating at Barking and Dagenham College, got to work on the scale models which will appear in the parade through central London.
The celebrated buildings the class chose to recreate include the Shard, the Gherkin, Tower Bridge, the Millennium Wheel and Tower 42.
Each building is to scale and they range from 7ft tall for the Shard to 3ft tall for Tower Bridge.
They also made a 4ft telephone box and postbox and giant gold, silver and bronze Olympic medals.
