Between my husband and I our families have either been born, lived or worked in Barking and Dagenham for about 180 years.
Both of our children were born at Upney Hospital.
The eldest has been bidding on properties for the last five years and has not come first on a bid yet!
A property became empty which was suitable to bid on but did not appear in the bidding system.
I believe the person who moved in did not have to bid, it was offered to him directly.
I was told that some people cannot put a bid on; does anyone know why someone could not bid?

This is the second time that this has happened in this road. My point is just how many empty homes are not getting into the bidding system!
It really makes me cross that both my husband and I have really strong family ties to Barking and Dagenham yet our children cannot get a home here.
