The District Line resumed a good service this morning after commuters endured severe rush hour delays.
The travel plans of passengers were thrown into chaos when a signal failure temporarily shut the service down between Barking and Tower Hill at 6.30am.
A Tube spokesman said the service was restored at 7am with “long delays”, adding a good service was in place by 8.30am.
