Customised Christmas jumpers were the order of the day at a free festive craft event.
The workshop, which took place at the Barking Learning Centre, saw participants learn how to create unique clothes for the season as well as make simple repairs and and alterations to clothes.
They were able to decorate a plain t-shirt or jumper for the season, creating a one-off design to wear to parties.
It was organised by sustainable fashion campaign Love Your Clothes London, with the organisation’s Ali Moore saying: “The festive season can be a time of excess and waste, but we want to show people how simple and cheap changes can really make a huge difference to their wardrobes and the environment.”
The Barking event was one of 15 to take place across the capital in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
