SCHOOL children across the borough will be amongst young people going to the cinema for free throughout the UK during National Schools Film Week.

The festival will run from October 14 – 22 and aims to provide schools with a powerful experience for their students.

This will be the festival’s 15th year, with films shown on 2,800 screens at 570 cinemas across the UK.

Nick Walker, director of National Schools Film Week said the festival hopes “to encourage students to explore new worlds by seeing films they wouldn’t ordinarily choose.”
