A logistics company is on track for greater success after gaining access to a European superhub 500 miles away.

IEFS Limited in Barking can now link to a £10m hub facility in Knüllwald in central Germany, which became fully operational this month.

As members of Europe’s largest and fastest palletised freight network, the Kingsbridge Road firm could enjoy an increase in productivity of 10 per cent across Europe through the improved transport links in Germany.

IEFS Ltd managing director Derek Best said the change would mean collecting all small goods on one vehicle and deliver to multiple locations across 20 countries in Europe.

“The new facility will enable us to offer a more frequent service to Germany, opening up new market opportunities for our business and customers,” he said.
