THE launch of the far right British National Party's parliamentary election campaign for Barking was met with protests after it kicked off with a secretive walkabout.
Nick Griffin, who announced that he would stand against Barking's Margaret Hodge MP in the general election next year, turned up on the Heathway in Jon Cruddas' Dagenham constituency on Thursday (November 19) to distribute leaflets and talk to the media.
When asked why he was standing in Barking, he said: "Barking and Dagenham is still primarily ethnically British."
