REGARDING the bust of VC Joe Drain. This has brought to mind of two paintings that used to hang in our lovely old library.
One was of the men rescuing the guns, the other was of Dunkirk a beach scene of our troops being rescued. Has anybody any knowledge of where they are now. It seems they don't fit in with our one stop shop.
May I also add about Mrs Hodge's comments on our wonderful town. I have yet to hear anyone say they like the bland building with their garish coloured pieces stuck on them especially when you remember what a nice town we had. A few lights and some tree's wont make much difference to it.
May I suggest that if Mrs Hodge likes it so much she comes and lives here, and looks at it every day like the rest of us.
