Daggers go down to a 2-0 defeat to Barnet at Underhill

FULL TIME Daggers defeated here, and it was always on the cards after a poor first half.

Full a full report, see the Post website tomorrow morning

Oooh - Gain has clipped the bar with a left-footer, is still any fight left in the visitors?

Antwi puts a header over the bar, and I think that is going to be about it for Daggers.

85MINS: Bolasie has finally left the field and Jarrett is on toe replace him, but Daggers just dont look like getting back into this now, its been far too easy a night for the hosts, and keeper Jake Cole.

Ogogo on for Doe now, and the right back has certainly endured a tough night at the hands of the pacy Barnet wingers tonight.

75MINS: Thomas is certainly causing a few problems, but it looks like not being Daggers night at the moment.

Thomas and Montgomery are on here as Green and Scott make way, something had to be done really, as the game is getting away from Daggers.

Furlong just fired wide after some really scrappy defending from the visitors while Thomas shows a lovely touch to bring the ball down, but then shoots off target.

The quality is rapidly giong out of this game as both sides seem intent on kicking the ball out.

Challenges are starting to fly in too, and the ref, who has been making a number of strange decisions, will need to keep his eyes on this game.

60MINS: Its gone a bit quiet now for the visitors and you sense they needed an early goal to really pep them up.

No changes for Daggers yet though, and it cant be long before Still thinks about reshuffling his pack.

Crowd is now in too - with 2093 in tonight and 512 from Daggers, a good turnout for the visitors.

Daggers have started a bit better here and are getting into the Barnet box with more regularity now. Green is starting to come into the game now too with some incisive runs forward as well.

Players are back out for the second half now - and a famous face in the crowd tonight, other than former Daggers keeper Ed Thompson, is that of John Motson, who is seated to my right.

HALF TIME Just what Still didnt want here as 2-0 is going to be a hard ask to come back from.

The last goal should never have happened as Benson first gave possession away and then Doe showed his inexperience as he should have stayed on his feet.

Barnet are good value for their lead though and it will be interesting to see how Daggers come out after the break.

GOALFLASH - Its 2-0 here as O'Flynn nets with ease from the penalty spot

Mountain to climb now and that really should have been avoided as Olasie was going nowhere really, but Doe dived in as he has a tendancy to do, the winger went down, and the penalty was given.

Penalty to Barnet

Daggers getting closer as Benson breaks clear but the angle is against him and Cole blocks comfortably.

40MINS: First effort on target for the visitors there as Green sends a free kick into the hands of Cole, while Hughes goes in the book for Barnet after scything down Scott.

Daggers finally force a corner and its put past his own post by Yakubu, a cracking header from the defender too!

35MINS: That Bolasie is one quick winger as Green burst forward and despite having a good few metres start, the Barnet man caught him and got in the challenge.

Think Still will be looking to get his troops in at half time and have a word with them as its just not going right at the moment.

25MINS: Daggers still cant get it into their game tonight, as they are giving possession back to the hosts with alarming regularity.

Roberts stopped an effort from O'Flynn at his near post, but these are worrying times for the visitors as Barnet look like the could well score again.

GOALFLASH - Furlong puts Barnet ahead with a cracking finish from close range

Must be said, that goal has been coming, and it was down the Daggers right too, where Doe is having a tough night dealing with Bolasie.

His pace got him free that time and the cross in the box was buried on the volley by Furlong.

15MINS: Its becoming much more of an even contest as Benson and Scott are starting to get on the ball more now.

Benson was free in the area but shot wide, the linesmans flag was up so it wouldnt have mattered anyway.

Barnet are still very dangerous on the wings and O'Flynn broke through, but his first touch was poor and Roberts raced off his line to save at the strikers feet.

And Arber is getting plenty of abuse from the home fans, not the sort of stuff I can print on here!

5MINS:Daggers definitely need to weather the storm here as Barnet have started all guns blazing.

They have got pace to burn on both flanks and are knocking the ball around with confidence too.

The visitors will be hoping to get their foot on the ball soon and try to move out of their half as they have chosen to play against the slope first up.

<>1MINS: Wow, Barnet should be ahead here as Bolasie skips into the area and brings out a fine save from Roberts, while Griffiths heads the rebound out of the danger area.

Teams are going through their final warm ups here, good number of Daggers fans in the away end and starting to make some noise.

I'm expecting a bad reception for Arber tonight, as he was relentlessly booed last time out, while Still always enjoys some banter with the home fans.

Gary Breen, Paul Furlong and Micah Hyde make up an experienced core of the Barnet team, and they have been impressive at home this year, so it will be interesting to see how Daggers cope.

TEAM NEWS

Hello and good evening from Underhill for tonights League Two clash between Daggers and Barnet.

The main team news is that Danny Spiller is back on the bench tonight and Jon Nurse starts on the left flank.

I'm guessing with Albert Adomah racing down the right wing for the Bees, then Still has opted for some extra pace too - and that is where Nurse gets the nod.
