ORIENT completed their second signing of the summer as Ben Chorley signed on a two-year deal from fellow League One outfit Tranmere Rovers, writes MATT DINER.

The 6 ft 3 inch strong centre half will probably slot-in alongside Tamika Mkandawire at the heart of the defence and on paper, it looks like a good signing for the club.

"We're delighted to welcome Ben to Brisbane Road," smiled O's boss Geraint Williams.

"He was an integral part of Tranmere's successful defence last season and he was in demand from a number of clubs this summer, so we're really pleased that we've managed to sign him on a two-year contract.

"Ben has a lot of experience at this level and he is sure to be a big player for us."

Chorley was a regular in the Tranmere back four last season, making 45 league appearances for a side who had one of the best defensive records in the league.
