FIRE crews are cooling down "dangerous" gas cylinders this morning (Monday) after a stack of tyres and rubbish went up in flames on the Maybells industrial estate, Ripple Road, Barking.
Firefighters are expected to stay at the site, off the A13, until this evening to stop the two acetylene cylinders exploding into flames.
The London Fire Brigade is investigating the blaze, which broke out at 6.30pm last night. A spokesman said today: "Occasionally acetylene cylinders are heated up or damaged and can explode. That's why our crews have to be careful.
