THE leader of the BNP group on Barking and Dagenham Council, Cllr Bob Bailey, is due before magistrates this week after being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving on Thursday night.
Cllr Bailey, of Sylvan Avenue, Chadwell Heath, who is also a candidate in Thursday's European elections, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath, having no insurance and no MOT after being stopped by police in London Road, Romford, at around 11.20pm.
He is due before Havering magistrates on Friday.
