Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled on the police’s Twitter feed today.

Bobbies from Barking and Dagenham are hosting a live “Twitterthon” inviting followers to watch events as they unfold.

The aim is to encapsulate a day in the force as people phone in with emergency 999 calls and non-emergencies via the 101 number.

The police are using the event as a witness appeal, calling for people to come forward and help with investigations.

Followers can tweet a question using the hashtag #MPSBarkDagLive.

The “Twitterthon” finishes at 9pm tonight. You can follow it using the hashtag #MPSBarkDagLive
