The body found in Parsloes Park on Friday is believed to be an 81-year-old man who went missing from his home in Barking.

Police searching for Michael Cleary found the body in the lake in the park at around 12.20pm.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Mr Cleary’s next of kin have been informed.
