A Wes Thomas goal is enough for Daggers to defeat Boreham Wood on Tuesday night

FULL TIME Thats it, Daggers win 1-0 here, not the greatest game in the world, but another 90 minutes fitness for most of the team, which is ultimately always the aim.

Email: daggersmatch@live.co.uk if you have any thoughts on tonights game.

The game is drifting to an end here, with only really a crunching challenge from Thurgood to mention in the last few minutes.

Daggers are playing it a bit dangerously at the back at times, but it looks like they have done enough for another victory.

Apologies for the slight delay there, gremlins in the system, but you havent missed much at all.

Daggers going through the motions here somewhat, with no real chances being created, but Green continues to look good on the flank.

Hogan did just put a comedy kick back into the path of Thomas, but nothing could be made of it.

70MINS: Taiwo has put a free kick over the bar, but Green is starting to look good on the wing now, and has the beating of his man.

His final ball has yet to really kick in though but the frontline of Charge and Thomas are struggling to make a real impression.

Another change for Daggers now, Thurgood replaces Montgomery.

60MINS: Jamie Richards should have got Wood level here, but his shot was badly scuffed.

Then Sean Sonner flicked a header past Roberts but Green was on hand to hack off the line - if anything its Wood that are looking more likely at the moment.

50MINS: Thomas fired a shot over after a nice interchange between Green and Montgomery.

Watters from Wood went on a lovely run too, before Doe got in a challenge, but Still isnt overly happy with his troops yet!

Mark Stringer has this to say on the email - Still think we are lacking a quality striker to partner benno.

Young Josh Scott seems like one for the future, but with losing Strevs to brentford, i think we need someone with a bit of league experience to partner him.

We still have Nokkers who did fairly well in his first season before the knee but i would like Jamie guy to come back as he linked up well.

Come on you Daggers!!!

I would have to agree with that, as Benson and Strevens were lethal in League Two, while Guy showed some potential in his loan spell and you would have to say, they could do with a bit more experience upfront.

Teams are out for the second half and Daniel Charge has replaced Paul Benson and will partner West Thomas upfront.

daggerstru1 has given his thoughts on the season ahead - This season without a doubt will be tough as we all know but if you look

back over the last couple of season john has bought players out of knowhere and made them good footballers as the likes of mackail-smith, shane blackett, dominic green.

I think there is still alot left out of john, me knowing john on a personal note knows he knows everything there is to know about football and hopefully he'll put that to the test this season.

Come on you daggers!

Good points there, John has found some real gems in the past and will out to do it again this season.

From the first half here, Danny Green looks promising, and almost a carbon copy of Saunders at times!

Its always hard to judge during a pre-season friendly, but I'm hoping to see a bit more in the second half from the side.

GOAL - Wes Thomas - Wood 0 Daggers 1

On the stroke of half time, Daggers go into the lead as a corner isnt cleared and Thomas nets at the second attempt after his first shot is blocked.

Before then, Antwi had a header kicked off the line, but Still will be giving his side a few firm words at the break, as he hasnt been a happy man in the dug out tonight.

40MINS: Eminiki's first touch is to pull off a superb sliding challenge and prevent a certain goal, cracking block from the left back.

Hogan just about palms out a Montgomery cross, but Arber has it spot on when he says 'we're not playing as we can do'

35MINS: Interesting move here as Agogo and Griffiths have been replaced by Doe and Eminiki.

Still had not been too happy with Griffiths' efforts from throw-ins and they had a discussion that was not printable on this website as the defender took his place on the bench!

Good messages on the email tonight as Ben Palmer has now been in touch

Really looking forward to the season. even with the losses in the off season, i have faith in John Still to put a competitive team together. but i know it could still be a hard road for us.

im looking forward to seeing how our new lads will do.

25MINS: Daggers almost went a goal down then as a cross from the left was not dealt with well by the defence.

The visitors are not at their best at the moment, and Still isnt happy with his players, they are struggling to get going just now.

Daggerstru1 has also been in touch - Tonight should be a good match, although dagenham should win, do you have any news on why dave hogan is in goal for wood thanks

Speaking to the Boreham people, their regular keeper Tony Tucker suffered a hand injury before the match, so Hogan was allowed to get a run out. Hes looked good so far, with some decent handling.

15MINS: Thomas fired a shot over on the turn after some nifty footwork, while the boss is proving this is no friendly, hollering at Montgomery to get wider!

If you would like to get in touch, email: daggersmatch@live.co.uk

Kingwilson has been in touch - Gearing up for the new season I bet. Hopefully it'll be just as eventful as the last although it'll be a struggle to match last season. Hopefully we can get Poole and Antwi, squad looks a bit bare at the moment! Any news on them?

Good to hear from you Kingwilson. Antwi has started today with Arber, while Poole isnt in the squad, so we'll try and find out what the latest with him is.

Daggers will do well to emulate last season I think, they have lost a lot of players over the summer.

10MINS: Wood look quite dangerous on the break here, as Chris Watters is dangerous on the left flank, but apart from a free kick blocked by the wall, Roberts hasnt been tested.

Arber came close with a backheel, while Hogan had to collect a header from Thomas, but as yet, neither keeper has had to make a save.

Quiet start from both sides here, but interestingly, Dave Hogan is playing in goal for Wood, while Henry Eminiki is a left sided player from Kingsbury, apparently in the Spartans League.
