THE Sunday Trios League at Dagenham Bowling kicked off their new season with their annual charity tournament in memory of bowler Brian Martin, raising �260 for charity.
The winner of the handicap men's tournament was John Hearne, with Alan Jones runner-up.
Valerie Kirven won the ladies' handicap tournament with Lisa Walker runner-up.
The league, with the generous support of Dagenham Bowling, raised money for the charity, Hospice Care.
The league bowlers start their 2009-2010 campaign next Sunday evening at 6pm.
